Snow removal works are carried out nonstop, Chisinau City Hall

The works to remove the snow from the Chisinau streets are performed nonstop, the City Hall’s Public Relations Service has said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The specialized services worked throughout the night. Seventy units of transport were involved in the works. Twenty-five machines of these are spreading antiskid material. More than 1,100 cubic meters of antiskid material have been spread so far. All the streets in the municipality of Chisinau are passable. A maximum number of buses and trolleybuses are running on routes. The public transport works normally, as usual in winter conditions. More units of transport were sent last night to clear of snow the road between Sangera and Dobruja, which form part of the municipality of Chisinau. The General Housing Division and the district heads’ offices ensure the removal of snow on the secondary streets and apartment buildings’ courts to improve pedestrian traffic. Thirty-seven machines are clearing up the snowy sidewalks in the five districts of Chisinau as the snow continues to fall. The 350 sweepers clean the areas near garbage bins, bus and trolleybus stations and the entrances to the apartment buildings. SC “Epa Media” SRL cleared of snow all the stations it administers. The Chisinau City Hall calls on the drivers to adjust the vehicles to the weather conditions, be watchful and park only in authorized places so as to allow the specialized services to clear the streets.
