Owing to salary machinations committed in 2012-2013, the state social insurance budget lost 121 million lei, Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga said in an interview for the publication Moldavskie Vedomosty, quoted by IPN.
“As a result of an investigation carried out by experts of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, there were identified a number of irregularities in the process of paying birth allowances, related to the fraudulent calculation of salaries,” said Valentina Buliga.
“In some of the cases, the salaries reached 60,000-70,000 lei for 126 days of maternity leave and 4,000-5,000 lei a month, paid during three years. In reality, the mothers didn’t receive such salaries. But the necessary payments were made from the social insurance budget. A woman could receive 250,000 lei, 70,000 lei of which in childbirth allowances and 180,000 in childcare allowances.”
The committed machinations had legal basis and neither the Tax Inspectorate nor other institutions can accuse anybody for breaking the law.
