Social partners’ priorities for immediate period to be discussed on Jan. 26

The priorities of the social partners for the next period will be discussed at the National Commission for Collective Consultations and Negotiations’ meeting set for January 26. Representatives of the Government, trade unions and employers’ associations will discuss the activity plan for the first semester of the year, will examine a series of subjects regarding the socioeconomic protection of the population, including the setting of the national minimum salary, IPN reports.

According to the National Trade Union Confederation of Moldova, before the meeting planned for January 26, the technical working group will be convened to regulate the mechanism for setting the national minimum salary. The group will discuss the reexamination of the minimum salary so that the Commission at its meeting agrees the social partners’ common vision on the stages of reexamination of the minimum salary.

The National Commission for Collective Consultations and Negotiations is an autonomous tripartite body of public interest of the social partnership which is constituted to solve problems related to labor and socioeconomic problems, for the development of the social partnership at national level.
