The social mentoring program DARE has announced the launch of the third edition of the program called DARE 2 Change. This has the slogan “Discover in you the power to dare!”. Twenty young women from marginalized groups, who want to become more confident in the own forces and aspirations, will be trained to become leaders during three months, IPN reports.
The program is intended for girls aged between 16 and 23 who have special needs, are from socially deprived families, of Roma and Gagauz ethnicity, of the LGBT community, or those whose parents are abroad. Twenty young women will be guided in their work by 20 women who graduated from DARE Social Fashion Show and DARE Leaders Academy. These will be their mentors during the program.
DARE 2 Change includes a series of training seminars given by professionals who are famous and appreciated in Moldova. During three months, the participants will learn to become leaders, to know their rights and to discover the internal power by art therapy. The program includes training courses on personal development and how to find a job, PR and communication, mobile Internet and advanced technologies, entrepreneurship and writing of business plans.
The participants will be encouraged to develop their own business plans or projects for social or entrepreneurial activities in their communities. The best and most inspired business ideas/projects will be awarded by the partners of DARE.
The social mentoring program Dare 2 Change will take place between September and December 2016. The training seminars are free and will take place on Saturday.
