The Party of Socialists’ candidate for mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban proposed a plan for developing the capitol city for 2018-2040. This envisions the development of the concept “Chisinau – center of science, education, industry, administration and culture”, IPN reports.
According to the Socialist candidate, the development of the city should be based on solid industrial-scientific potential and the implementation of a clear concept for efficiently developing the network of roads and on complex solutions for sidewalks, roadway, alleys, parks and others.
“One of the major problems of the city – the transport – is devoted special attention in our development plan,” Ion Ceban stated in a news conference given in front of the City Hall. He said new residential complexes will be constructed on reserve territories specified in the city’s general plan, simultaneously with the development of engineering infrastructure. The industrial enterprises will be located in the Free Economic Zone of Chisinau.
Ion Ceban said the cleanup program is also a priority of his team. The program envisions the construction of a recycling center.
