A group of councilors of the Party of Socialists accuse their colleagues from the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), who declare themselves pro-European, of not examining the problems of the city at meetings, but of promoting their interests, voting for dubious draft decisions in a package. Moreover, the Socialists said that every time the agenda is published only several days before the meetings and it is impossible to examine each item in such a short period, IPN reports.
The Socialist councilors said the agenda of the CMC is published only several days before the meetings on purpose. In such conditions, the Socialist councilors intend to thoroughly analyze all the issues concerning the leasing out of public land and will travel to the scene to see the real situation if need be.
According to them, the pro-European councilors continue to vote in a package issues that are to the detriment of the city. Among these is the illegal allocation of land where all kinds of illegal constructions appear afterward. These refuse to support beneficial initiatives because this is not within their interests. The Socialists will insist on the moratorium on the constructions in the city.
The councilors also said that they do not have access to documents on tender contests and a series of projects under implementation because officials of the relevant divisions refuse to present them and hush up the illegalities they commit.
The CMC comes together for the next meeting on December 10.
