The Party of Socialists’ candidate for mayor Ion Ceban intends to start his term in office, if he wins the mayoral elections, with an audit of all the subdivisions of the Chisinau City Hall so as to exclude the doubling of duties, the lack of competence and of compatibility with the post held. Ion Ceban made related statements in the talk show “Key issue” on NTV Moldova channel, IPN reports.
“We will do our utmost for this audit to take place in the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), in subdivisions, including in the City Hall. The next step will derive from here – a new functional organogram,” stated the candidate. According to him, it will be hard to do this without a majority on the CMC and this won’t be done in a short period of time.
Referring to his electoral program’s point concerning the investment map, Ion Ceban said the property should be classified and a conceptual view as regards all the projects needed in the municipality of Chisinau should be worked out. “The municipality should create conditions for investors to come. The municipality should present its priorities, in transport, the social sphere, healthcare, education and other areas in which potential investors can become involved,” said the Socialists’ candidate.
Asked how he will ensure cooperation with the CMC, Ion Ceban said he will formulate proposals for developing the municipality and for supporting the residents of Chisinau. “I want to see the councilor who will vote against the social sphere, against transparency and the efficient management of the city,” he stated. Ion Ceban noted such councilors could exist and the people should know them.
