The parliamentary group of the Party of Socialists protests at the way in which the Filip Government was voted in. “They elected the Government during an hour, without consulting the people and the opposition parties,” Socialist MP Vlad Batrancea said after the Government was given a vote of confidence, IPN reports.

“In protest, we blocked the central rostrum of Parliament. We asked for a break so that all the opposition MPs could come to the sitting to familiarize themselves with the program and composition of this Government. It is an abusive, unconstitutional and illegal act,” stated the lawmaker.

He added the Socialists will use all the possible legal ways for the current Parliament to be dissolved and early legislative elections to be called because the legislature is no longer credible and the voted in Cabinet is also not credible.

The Socialists hampered the holding of the special sitting of Parliament, blocking the rostrum. As a result, it was decide that the candidate for Prime Minister will not present the government program and will not answer the MPs’ questions. A vote was thus taken immediately.
