Soldier shot dead while on duty

A National Army soldier was injured fatally from a gun while he was on duty in the evening of September 21, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Defense. The accident happened at the Cahul-based motorized infantry brigade “Dacia” owing to the inattentiveness of the soldier, who flagrantly broke the rules of using guns, it is said in the communiqué. Following this tragic incident, the minister of defense ordered holding an administrative inquiry to elucidate all the circumstances. The solider was drafted into the army last autumn and was from Stefan –Voda district. His name will be made public after his family is informed about the incident.
