The Chisinau COVID-19 Center set up on the territory of the Exhibitions Center “Moldexpo” will become functional on April 3. At the first stage, this will have a capacity of 300-400 places, President Igor Dodon stated after the April 2 meeting of the Single Command Center.
The official said the sorting center’s capacity could be later extended to several thousand places, IPN reports.
According to President Dodon, this center is very important and will enable to free the hospitals that are now full of persons who need treatment and also of persons suspected of having COVID-19.
As many as 196 persons with COVID-19 are now receiving treatment at hospitals in Chisinau.
