The spatial data of the Agency for Land Relations and Cadaster will be available on a specialized portal. The executive approved a bill to migrate spatial data and functions of the thematic geo-portal (www.geoportal.md) to the thematic geo-portal for spatial data of the Agency (www.moldova-map.md), which will become www.geodata.gov.md, IPN reports.
The move will reduce the costs associated with the keeping of information systems and will ensure free access to and availability of spatial data through network services for all private individuals and legal entities.
The Government approved the concept of the state geographical information system “Thematic geo-portal for spatial data of the Agency for Land Relations and Cadaster” and the regulations on its keeping.
The Agency for Land Relations and Cadaster, within nine months of the coming into force of the given decision, will ensure the transfer of all the spatial data to the geo-portal www.geodata.gov.md.
