Parliament's Speaker Marian Lupu said he could convene a special session of the legislature and interrupt the winter recess if there will be documents that need urgent consideration, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“For instance, the Alliance colleagues told me about the need to adopt the Action Plan for the Justice Reform. Initially the target date was set for mid-February, but now we have agreed that we need to adopt it sooner. If in the first part of January the parliamentary commissions will request the examination of some priority initiatives, I will convene Parliament for a special session. I have the consent of the Alliance to do this”, said Marian Lupu.
Otherwise, Parliament will assemble on January 15 to try and elect the President and then will adjourn again for the winter recess until February.
