“There is no such group”, declared Speaker Igor Grosu after requesting the formal opinion of the Legal Committee on the announcement of a new parliamentary group, called Victoria-Pobeda.
Members of a dissolved party on grounds of being unconstitutional cannot form a parliamentary group, argued Grosu.
The new group was announced by MP Vasile Bolea at the beginning of today’s Parliament meeting. Later in the meeting, as Bolea was about to take the floor for a speech, Speaker Grosu intervened with the Legal Committee’s opinion.
“Analyzing the declaration of establishment of the parliamentary group, the concerned independent deputies, ex-members of the Shor party, which was declared unconstitutional and was dissolved, cannot be part of parliamentary factions or groups”, stated Igor Grosu.
