State awards conferred on people of culture

Galina Buinovschi, head of the National Music High School “Ciprian Porumbescu”, was awarded the Order of the Republic. A relevant decree was signed by Acting President of Moldova Marian Lupu on May 23, Info-Prim Neo reports. By the same decree, the Order of Honor was conferred on film director Vladimir Druc, head of the concert and impresario organization “Moldova-Concert” Valentin Goga, scriptwriter Dumitru Olarescu, and president of the Union of Choreographers of Moldova Antip Taralunga. The Labor Glory Order was given to the president of the Union of Composers and Musicologists of Moldova Ghenadie Ciobanu and plastic artist Ion Daghi, while the Civic Merit Medal – to pro-rector of the Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Arts Vladimir Axionov. The honorific title of People's Artist was conferred on violinist, composer and folklorist Dumitru Blajinu, stage manager of the National Opera House Eleonora Constantinova, director of the Balti-based Theater “Vasile Alecsandri” Anatol Racila, composer Pavel Rivilis, and actor of “Vasile Alecsandri” Theater Vitalie Todiras. Vladimir Burlea, secretary of the Union of Composers and Musicologists of Moldova, Aurelian Danila, director of the Academy of Sciences' Cultural Patrimony Institute, Victoria Melnic, rector of the Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Arts, Aliona Strambeanu, division head at the Ministry of Culture, and Onisim Cazacu, department chair at the Music College “Stefan Neaga” were awarded the honorific title of Master of Arts. The honorific title of Emeritus Person was conferred on the director of “Alexei Mateevici” Theater Eugeniu Carciumaru, manager of “Eugene Ionesco” Theater Andrei Locoman, professor of the Soroca College of Arts Tudor Nistor, head of the Briceni School of Plastic Arts Ludmila Vatamaniuc, artistic director of the National Center for Conservation and Promotion of the Immaterial Cultural Patrimony Oleg Volontir, and director of the Public Library “Onisifor Ghibu” Elena Vulpe. Ana Tarus, actress of the Balti-based Theater “Vasile Alecsandri”, received the honorific title of Artist Emeritus, while clay items maker Pavel Talpalaru – the honorific title of Skilful Master.
