The Cabinet approved a number of amendments and supplements to the annex of the strategy for developing the health system for 2008-2017, IPN reports.
The changes refer to the plan of action for implementing the strategy and were made with the aim of providing the population with health services of a high quality. These are based on the dynamics of the health system restructuring during the last ten years ago.
The measures contained in the updated plan of action are designed to ensure the international health standards are met by implementing modern medical technologies so that the quality of health services are improved and are adjusted to the population’s needs.
The costs for implementing the strategy will be included in the local hospital medical assistance development programs and will be covered by the budgets of the public authorities and with other resources, according to the legislation. The development fund of the National Health Insurance Company will also be used for the purpose.
