Strong wind leaves 5 Stefan Voda villages in darkness

A power outage caused by strong wind last night left five villages in Stefan Voda district in darkness. The affected villages are Antonesti, Brezoia, Carahasani, Slobozia and Stefanesti. Three repair teams sent by the power utility and two teams deployed by the Emergencies Service intervened. By 11:00 today, several households in two of the villages were still without electricity, Info-Prim Neo learned from the Emergencies Service spokesperson Liliana Puscasu. Rescuers advise all those who have to spend more time outside in cold weather to dress accordingly and consume a lot of hot beverages, and motorists to equip their vehicles with winter tires and have some extra fuel reserved. It is also important that those who plan long trips to take well-charged mobile phones which they should use to call 901 in case of emergency.
