Supreme Court invalidates curtain removal order

The Supreme Court of Justice on Friday evening reversed the decision of the Central Election Commission to remove curtains at the entrance to polling booths. The information was confirmed by CEC Secretary Andrei Volentir. “We were surprised to hear the news. Now, at the next meeting (10:00am) we are to make a decision”, Volentir told Info-Prim Neo. On June 14, the CEC ordered the removal of the frontal polling booth curtains in a bid to prevent electoral fraud.
