A functionary of the Falesti State Tax Inspectorate was arrested on suspicion that he took 10,000 lei from the director of a firm for unblocking the company’s bank account, IPN reports, quoting the National Anticorruption Center.
The servant will be held at the remand unit of the National Anticorruption Center’s North Division for 72 hours.
A criminal case was started against the functionary over passive corruption. He faces up to 10 years’ behind bars.
