A primary female teacher of an Orhe lyceum will be tried together with her seven accomplices for drug distribution. The Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office and the Prosecutor’s Office for Special Cases completed the investigation and sent the case against the eight members of the group of traffickers to court, IPN report.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, prosecutors established that the suspects smuggled the psychotropic substance buprenorfin (SUBUTEX) from France into Moldova. They used the substance to make drugs and sold these in different districts of the country.
The culprits are aged between 23 and 39 and are from Orhei, Rezina and Rybnitsa districts. During searches at their homes, the police found and seized narcotic and psychotropic substances in very large quantities and money earned from trafficking in drugs.
If they are found guilty, the eight will serve up to 15 years in jail.
