A teacher from Edineț district was sentenced to 25 years in jail on 23 counts of sexual offenses, including perverse and violent actions of a sexual character and rapes, against seven minors, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor General’s Office said that in 2017-2022, when the culprit worked as music teacher in Edineț district, he committed actions that affected the sexual inviolability, physical freedom, bodily integrity and health of seven minor victims, both in his office and at his home.
The court sentenced him to 25 years behind bars and obliged him to pay 250,000 lei in respect of non-pecuniary damages and court costs.
The perpetrator was held on remand until the sentence took effect. He pleaded not guilty.
The sentence is not final and can be calmed in the Chisinau Appeals Court within 15 days.
