Teachers may benefit from concessions

The teachers who do not have a house in the settlement where they work will be covered the costs they incur for traveling to the workplace, while their children will be offered places at dormitories and boarding schools free of charge. This will happen if the bill with relevant amendments to the Education Law, put forward by lawmaker Oleg Tulea, is adopted by Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports. The legislative initiative was registered with the legislative body at the start of February. In the informative note to the bill, the author says that the young specialists are not motivated to enter the education system, while the teaching staff grows older. Given the reformation process, the rationalization of the education institutions and their difficult situation, new mechanism should be created to stimulate and protect the teachers. Oleg Tulea proposes that the new provisions should come into force when they are published in the Official Gazette, while the Government will have two months to adjust its normative documents.
