Teachers with a higher teaching degree will no longer have to confirm it once every five years, as is currently the case. Under an order issued by the Ministry of Education and Research, the higher teaching degree will be conferred for the entire duration of the career, IPN reports.
“We want to reduce bureaucracy. We believe that once the person reached this level of competence, once they accumulated the necessary years of experience, passed the necessary training, we can offer this confidence throughout the career of the person,” said Minister of Education Dan Perciun.
At the same time, in order to simplify the obtaining of the higher degree, the obligation to publish scientific articles for school teachers was excluded. “Previously, the publication of these articles was not necessarily always compliant. That is why we considered that we have nothing to lose from the exclusion of this requirement,” stated Dan Perciun.
