Teens convicted of murder of two underage girls

The Cahul district court sentenced the young persons who killed two underage girls to 9 to 19 years in prison. The girls aged 14 and 16 were found buried in a field near the village Andrusul de Jos, Info-Prim Neo reports. A 19-year-ol man got the harshest punishment. Besides murder, the court found him guilty of kidnapping and involvement of minors in criminal activities. A 15-year-old boy was sentenced to 12 years in jail for deliberate murder, illegal detention of persons and violent acts of sexual character. The two girls aged 16 who took part in the crime got 11 years and, respectively, nine years and six months. The crime has been committed this March. The girls were going along the Cahul-Cantemir road, through Zirnesti village. On the way, they met two boys and two girls. As a result of a quarrel, the girls were taken by force to a sheepfold near Andrusul de Jos. There they were beaten and held in a cellar. In a day, they were killed and buried in a field nearby. The offenders were arrested in April and have been in custody since then.
