A group of activists who call themselves “International Movement Terra Freedom” has announced an event against the vaccination of children, which they call informative. The event was set to take place near the Monument to Ruler Stephan the Greet and Holy in central Chisinau on December 26, starting at 1pm.
The group’s leader Veaceslav Valico told a news conference that the event is intended for parents who realize what is going on and who love their children. He called on the government “to stop the experiments on children”. “What they call vaccination is actually something else. These are clinical trials of an unknown preparation on the population of the Republic of Moldova,” stated the group’s representative.
The movement is concerned that vaccination turned from a voluntary procedure into “a mandatory form of medical experiments”.
Sergiu Bațalan, another representative of the group, said vaccination is recommended from the age of 12 and later the age will decline. “Don’t touch our children. Don’t test us as we will defend our children till the end,” he stated.
In the news conference, the activists showed videos with Vladimir Zelenko, a family doctor known for promoting unfounded medical advice, conspiracy theories and mistaken information about vaccination against COVID-19. According to this, a former employee of Pfizer admitted that more children could die from COVID-19 vaccines than from the disease itself.
Asked by IPN to comment on these assertions, international public health expert Ala Tocarciuc said those allegations are fully incorrect.
“First of all, I will refer to the assertion that someone from Pfizer made public statistics about the impact of the pandemic on children. Such data are compiled based on scientific studies, are proposed for public debates and only then are quoted as scientific data. If you consult virtual medical libraries at the moment, you will not find such epidemiological researches. False information was used and this is against the current scientific approaches,” stated Ala Tocarciuc.
“As to some of the arguments about the restrictions imposed in the absence of a vaccine certificate, I want to say that it is important to realize that we haven’t yet overcome the pandemic. We hoped a lot that the vaccines will help us, but the shots now regrettably help us to avoid intubation, not yet the pandemic. Therefore, we will yet live under restrictions, will wear masks and will get vaccinated so as to maintain a balance between the daily needs and the pandemic realities.”
