His Holiness Bartholomew I, the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, considered primus inter pares among the leaders of the Orthodox Churches, conveyed a congratulatory letter to Her Excellency Mrs. Maia Sandu via the General Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Istanbul on her re-election as President of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
“We rejoice with the Moldovan people, who have once again trusted in Your Excellency’s vision, dedication, and commitment to the welfare and development of your nation,” states His Holiness in the congratulatory message, wishing that Almighty God may bless the President of the country, her government, and all citizens of Moldova.
“Please know that the Ecumenical Patriarchate stands in solidarity with you and remains committed to supporting efforts that promote the dignity of each person and the values that protect the common good,” the message continues, “blessing Maia Sandu’s efforts and the Moldovan people with a future full of perspective, unity, and peace.”
