More than 3,200 drivers committed traffic violations over the weekend. Thirty-four persons were caught driving under the influence of alcohol and 20 of them were heavily inebriated. All drunk drivers were removed from the steering wheel of the vehicle, IPN reports, with reference to the General Police Inspectorate.

As many as 1,625 of the drivers didn’t respect the speed limit, more than 630 ignored the  priority road signs and traffic light signals, while 115 were driving without a seat belt fastened.

Also, 520 drivers stopped the transport unit in prohibited places, over 200 drove without the annual technical inspection certificate or the motor third party liability insurance policy, while more than 70 drivers didn’t give legal priority to pedestrians.
