Prime Minister Vlad Filat and Ambassador Dirk Schuebel, the Head of the European Union Delegation to Moldova, have signed a Framework Document on the Comprehensive Institution Building Program for 2011-2013 within the EU’s Eastern Partnership, Info-Prim Neo reports. ”The European Union will provide a grant of €41 million to contribute to the development of the institutional capacities of Moldova so that it fulfills the commitments that will be undertaken within the future Association Agreement. This document is the Government’s capacity certificate in the process of Moldova’s integration into the EU. It confirms that our European integration efforts are supported and that the reforms implemented by the present administration are approved of at international level,” said Vlad Filat. Under the document, there will be created three groups of institutions divided according to the key reforms that are to be implemented within the future Association Agreement. The first group will carry out reforms in public administration, the second will strengthen the state of law, while the third will prepare Moldova for a future free trade area with the European Union. Dirk Schuebel called on the EU member states to help improve the policies in Moldova on the basis of the signed document.
