Three men killed in house fires

A man aged 66 and another one of 48 from Drochia town died of carbon monoxide positioning on February 24.
Liliana Puscasu, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the fire happened on Alecu Russo St in Drochia on Thursday morning. The cause of fire has not been yet established.
Neighbors said the 66-year-old man was the owner of the house. He was confined to bed. He had neither wife, nor children. The younger man was a cousin of his, who looked after him.
A man aged 44 was killed in a house fire in Rezina town. An investigation is under way to determine the cause of fire.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the 323 fires that occurred in Moldova so far this year resulted in 53 deaths. Two of the victims were children.
