Three new members appointed to TRM Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board of the public broadcaster TeleRadio Moldova (TRM) has got three new members following their appointment today in Parliament. The new members are Doina Deleu, Petru Grozavu and Larisa Calugaru, Info-Prim Neo reports. Chiril Lucinschi, chair of Parliament's Commission on Culture and Mass Media, noted that the vacancy appeared in one case due to the expiry of a member's term, in another following a member's resignation, and in the third due to frequent absenteeism. Communist MP Alexandr Petkov said his group would not support the candidates as the Supervisory Board was “nothing but a puppet in the government's hands”. The Supervisory Board is composed of 9 members.
