Three pedestrians killed in road accidents during one day

Three men died after they were struck by cars on January 14, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Traffic Police Division, a 58-year-old man was hit by a Mitsubishi-Colt driven by a man aged 25. The accident happened in Tartaul village of Cantemir district. An employee of Moldova's Railways aged 59 was crushed under the wheels of a Toyota RAV-4 on Albisoara St in Chisinau. A Volvo-740 car driven by a resident of Calarasi district struck an unidentified man in his 40s in Parlita village of Ungheni district. The three cases are under investigation. Five road accidents happened in Moldova on Thursday, January 14. Three persons were killed and four injured in them. The police identified 269 violations of the traffic rules, including speeding, driving under the influence, non-fastening of the seatbelt etc.
