Three arteries in the historical district of the capital city - str. 31 August 1989, Tighina and Alexandru cel Bun – will be fully rehabilitated. The Chisinau City Hall said that the contracts for the execution of works with the contractors chosen at public contracts were signed, IPN reports.
Besides repairing the roadway, parking places will be set up by the roadside. The sidewalks and public street lighting will be modernized. Cycle tracks will be set up on 31 August 1989 St.
The three streets will be rehabilitated in the framework of Package II of the Chisinau Urban Road Sector Project that is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank and the EBRD’s Green Energy Special Fund. The contracts are to be executed during 18 months of the signing day, November 24.
The value of the project to repair the three streets is €11.8 million.
