Trade and economic relations discussed at meetings between Moldovan Prime-Minister with ambassadors of Poland and Italy

Trade and economic relations were discussed at the meetings of April 29 between Moldovan Prime-Minister Zinaida Greceanai with the Polish ambassador to Moldova, Kryzstof Suprowicz, and with the Italian ambassador to Moldova, Daniele Mancini, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Government’s press service, Kryzstof Suprowicz said Moldova was going to benefit of financial assistance this year from Poland worth USD2.2 million. The money will be streamlined to develop infrastructure, on the basis of the priorities jointly determined by the partners from the two countries. Zinaida Greceanai opted to promote the bilateral trade and economic relationships more intensely, as there is a huge potential to be developed in this regard. The total volume of the trade between Moldova and Poland in 2007 reached $295 million.
Italy’s ambassador to Moldova, based in Bucharest, Daniele Mancini, during his meeting, confirmed the interest of the Italian businesses in Moldova, reasoned by the advantageous price of labor in comparison with the new EU member countries, but also by the growth of the internal market and by the investment policy promoted by the Moldovan Government.
The diplomat has informed that the new Italian Government has as priority issues related to migration and pleaded for a closer cooperation between the ministries responsible for labor and for domestic affairs of the two countries.
