The trade unions, employers and the Government signed the Social Dialogue Platform for Moldova by which they pledged to discuss the problems, proposals and policies concerning employers and employees before taking decisions, IPN reports.

Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Sergiu Sainciuc said that social dialogue means that all the three partners – the trade unions, employers and the Government – must find a way out to cooperate, by consultations, so that any problem that appears in the social-economic sector is discussed and decisions are taken when a consensus is reached.

The social partners will discuss the formation of salaries, the settlement of work conflicts and the strengthening of capacities of organizations on the labor market. The deputy minister said that the radical measures do not produce the expected results. They lead only to losses. Therefore, any problem in the social-economic sector and any normative documents must be discussed between the partners.

Chairman of the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova Oleg Budza said that the countries where there is social dialogue witness fewer protests because the sides hold discussions and provide arguments.

Head of the National Employers Confederation of Moldova Leonid Cerescu said the signed documents will allow improving the relations between the partners. “I hope that this platform will enable to work out more favorable policies for economic entities so that they are able to increase the number of jobs and the salaries,” he stated.

The Social Dialogue Platform for Moldova was created by the joint effort of the social partners, with the support of a group of experts from Sweden within the EU-funded project “Consolidation of migration management capacities in the Republic of Moldova”.
