On St. John the Baptist, the Border Guard Service of Moldova was blessed by being splashed with holy water, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The ceremony was held by Archpriest Eugen, Bishop of the Church of Saint Gheorghe the Trophy-bearer, who protects all the military men.
In a communiqué, the Border Guard Service says it is a tradition to bless the border guards two times a year - on St. John the Baptist and on Easter. The suggestion was made by the administration of the Border Guard Service.
