Traffic accidents claim two lives

Two persons were killed in Moldova in road accidents on November 1, Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo. The first victim is a man aged 38, who was driving a truck on the Telenesti-Ratus road at high speed. At a turn, the truck skidded and overturned. The driver died on the way to the hospital. The second victim is a pedestrian whose identity has not been yet established. He was struck by a Volkswagen driven by a man aged 46 in Magdacesti village. According to the traffic police, the driver did not pay adequate attention to poor visibility at night. The same day, a Dacia-Logan car driven by a man aged 47 crashed into a truck parked by the roadside on the Balti-Glodeni road. A boy aged 17 and a woman aged 24 traveling in the Dacia suffered cranial-cerebral traumas and concussions. The nine accidents that happened on the national roads on November 1 resulted in two deaths and 11 persons injured. Another 43 traffic accidents caused no victims.
