Update (15.00) Presidents Nicolae Timofti and Traian Basescu will make statements for the press at the Chisinau Airport at 16.00.
Romanian President Traian Basescu will pay a working visit to Chisinau today, November 29. At the airport in Chisinau, he will be met by Moldova’s President Nicolae Timofti, IPN has learned from the presidential press service.
The two officials will make short statements for the press at the airport, at 16.45. Afterward, they will have a bilateral meeting.
Traian Basescu attended the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius, where Moldova initialed the Association Agreement with the EU. “I will visit Chisinau to have a discussion with Moldova’s President and because the Romanian Embassy is celebrating the National Day today. There will be over 1,000 invitees and we should congratulate the Moldovans at their home and to tell them that we are waiting for them with delight in the EU,” Traian Basescu told the reporters in Vilnius.
