Train tickets to Russia increase in price

The train tickets for the routes Chisinau-Moscow and Chisinau-Saint Petersburg have increased in price by around 60 lei. Clerks at the ticket desk confirm the rise, saying currency-related fluctuations are to blame. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Transportation Deputy Minister Boris Gherasim said he could not comment because this wasn't within the Ministry's competence. The management of Moldova Railways could not be found for comments.
