The National Army’s training grounds in Bulboaca will be renovated this year with financial support provided by the U.S. Government within the Global Peace Operations Initiative. A sum of US$1.6 million will be invested in the modernization of the grounds’ infrastructure.
According to General Staff Chief, National Army Commander and Colonel Igor Gorgan, owing to this grant the servicemen will be able to receive efficient training in modern conditions and to develop the capacities needed for peacekeeping missions.
In 2012, Moldova was accepted as a partner of the Global Peace Operations Initiative that is financed by the U.S. Government through foreign assistance programs, aimed at supporting the capacities to ensure regional and international security.
