Transactions with plots located on Ciocarliei St caused damage equal to two-year budget for roads, Dorin Chirtoaca

The mayor also said he furnished the CCCEC with the materials asked by the anticorruption offices. Among these are the decision of the Chisinau Municipal Council of 2001 on the assessment of the land stock, the Council's regulations of 2003-2007, the composition of the specialized commissions, the list of councilors, and the work contracts. The mayor said that after the internal inquiry is compelled, there will be provided other materials as well. According to Dorin Chirtoaca, companies controlled by the son of the former head of state Oleg Voronin came into possession of four hectares of land in the most expensive area of Chisinau by a number of transactions. Under the signed contracts, 20 private houses, a church, a playground and a sociocultural center were to be built there. In reality, there were constructed seven private houses and an apartment building. In a press briefing on Wednesday, the head of SRL Moldconstruct Market read a statement, saying the company will defend its honor and business reputation in court and will demand damages for the harm done to it. Angela Shcherbina refused to talk to the journalists. The statement says that Oleg Voronin is not an employee of the company and has no connection with its business activities.
