The applications for transit simplification authorizations can be submitted exclusively through the Specialized Information Customs Decisions System The order on the approval of the technical norms concerning the authorization of simplified transit procedures, which introduces provisions on transit simplification authorizations, was published in the Official Gazette on Thursday, IPN reports.
The Customs Service said that, due to the new regulations, physical files will be eliminated and administrative costs for economic operators will be reduced. Authorization applications will be fully managed through the Customs Decisions System, speeding up the resolution process.
The new regulations are aimed at granting simplification authorizations for the agreed consignor, which allows the goods to be placed in the transit procedure without their presentation at the customs office, and the agreed consignee, which allows the goods to be received under the customs transit procedure without presentation at the customs office. Authorizations will also be granted for the consignee-TIR, which allows the reception of goods according to the TIR Convention in an authorized place and provides for the application of special seals for the identification of goods in transit.
