A man was admitted to the hospital with multiple burns as a result of a road accident that happened near Troita Noua village of Anenii Noi district in the morning of July 11. The truck he was driving caught fire, IPN reports.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the truck skidded off the road and overturned. The reasons are not yet known. When the first firefighting team was on the spot, the truck’s cabin was burning. The second firefighting team was on the spot in several minutes and the fire was localized in about 40 minutes.
The cab and 20% of the truck’s container burned completely. The truck driver was hospitalized in a serious condition. The firefighters also washed the fuel from the road in order to avoid a possible explosion.
The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service urge the people to call 901 when they witness such incidents.
