Trucks remain blocked in Albita customs

Several dozen trucks got stuck in Albita customs, at the entrance from Moldova to Romania, in the evening of March 5. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, press officer of the Customs Service of Moldova Alina Sargu said that 26 trucks had been cleared during 24 hours at a time when 100-120 trucks should be cleared during such a period. “About 80 trucks were waiting to go through customs yesterday at about 10pm. Units of transport are still in queues there,” stated Alina Sargu. Sources in the Albita customs said that inspections started to be carried out at all the customs posts in Romanian on March 4. Every unit of transport is checked thoroughly. The Romanian customs officers didn’t specify how long the inspections will last.
