The victims of the car accident that happened near Comrat on March 31 include two brothers aged 20 and 17. In the car that overturned and caught fire there were also three friends of theirs of practically the same age. Nobody survived.
Prosecutor of Comrat municipality Vasile Stoinov has told IPN that the young people were returning from a night club. Those who saw them not long before the accident said they weren’t under the influence of alcohol.
The accident occurred because of poor visibility due to fog. The vehicle skidded at a turn, overturned and went into a channel. The car caught fire and burned completely.
The young people were from Cioc-Maidan village.
