Two children diagnosed earlier with COVID-19 were discharged from the Municipal Children’s Hospital of Contiguous Diseases. Also, three adults were cured of COVID-19 and were discharged from the Infectious Diseases Hospital “Toma Ciorbă”. This way, the number of cured persons rose to 18. The information was presented after the meeting of the National Focal Point held in the morning of March 31, IPN reports.
“This is progress and a remarkable result achieved by our healthcare system,” said Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu.
Seventeen children and six grownups continue to be treated at the Municipal Children’s Hospital of Contiguous Diseases. Their condition is medium grave and satisfactory. Thirty-one of the 126 patients who are receiving treatment at “Toma Ciorbă” Hospital are in a serious state. Twelve of the 13 persons with COVID-19 admitted to the National Clinical Hospital are also in critical condition.
Persons who contracted the novel coronavirus were also admitted to Maternity Hospital No. 2, the Hospital of the Ministry of Health, Clinic No. 1 and Clinic No. 2 and also to the regional hospitals in Bălți, Căușeni and Cahul.
The legal provisions concerning the organization and functioning of the sorting center for persons suspected of having COVID-19 housed by “Moldexpo” will be approved in the nearest future, said Viorica Dumbrăveanu.
A state of emergency for 60 days was declared in Moldova on March 17. As many as 298 infections with COVID-19 have been diagnosed in Moldova so far. Two infected women died.
