Two children younger than two were taken to the Mother and Child Hospital with acute mushroom poisoning. Chisinau Ambulance Service coordinating doctor Silvia Babara has told Info-Prim Neo that the girl of one year and ten months and the boy aged one year and two months are from different families. In both of the cases, the parents fed them with mushrooms prepared at home.
Relatives found a 26-year-old man hanged, but still alive. He was rushed to the Emergency Hospital in a deep coma. A woman of the same age took pills in order to kill herself after having a quarrel with her parents. She was admitted to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox.
A family needed medical assistance after inhaling fumes from a fire that broke out in a basement on Grenoble St. They refused hospitalization.
Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service dealt with 794 calls, providing assistance in 75 cases of trauma, 84 cases of acute viral infection, seven strokes, 26 deliveries and other cases.
