Two cousins fall into well on Pentecost

Two cousins aged 22 and 23 from Pascani village of Cahul district fell into a well while cleaning it on June 20, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service. The men’s grandmother said that her grandchildren, together with other villagers, were cleaning the well, as they usually do on Pentecost. At a certain moment, the electric pump got stuck and one of the young men descended into the well to see what was wrong. Owing to the gas emitted by the faulty engine, the man felt sick and lost consciousness. The other cousin went down to help him, but fell and suffered multiple head and back injuries. According to the grandmother, the two men were rushed to the hospital. One of them is in a serious condition.
