Two deaths by drowning in Chisinau municipality

Two men drowned in the municipality of Chisinau on July 11. The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service calls upon the population to avoid swimming while under the influence of alcohol and warns the persons who do not know to swim not to enter the water, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Service’s spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu has told in Info-Prim Neo that one of the men aged 47 drowned in the Nistru River, not far from Vadul lui Voda town. The other man aged 37 died in a pond in Valea Trandafirilor Park in Chisinau. Five persons drowned in the municipality of Chisinau one day earlier, on July 10. A number of 58 persons have drowned in Moldova this year so far. Seven of the victims were children.
