Two Dutch tourists have been robbed by four Moldovans with whom they got acquainted in Chisinau and who offered to accompany them to a nightclub. After entertaining themselves at a discotheque in Durlesti town, the 21-year-old Dutchmen walked back to the hotel where they were accommodated, in central Chisinau. Not far from an underground passage at the intersection of Stefan cel Mare Blvd. and Ciuflea St, the young men were attacked by unidentified persons.
The attackers kicked and punched the two tourists and stole their wallets and photo camera, the head of the General Police Commissariat's press unit Adrian Jovmir has told Info-Prim Neo.
The suspects aged between 20 and 24 were arrested two days later. They turned out to be the four 'friends' of the Dutchmen. The police found the stolen things at the place of one of them. The four men are liable to three to six years in jail and/or fine of 10 000 to 20 000 lei.
