Two citizens of Moldova were arrested for 72 hours for attempting to smuggle 2 kg of marijuana over the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, IPN reports.
According to the Border Police, the men aged 42 and 46, when travelling on the Odessa-Reni transit route, stopped their vehicle and threw a parcel. This act aroused the suspicion of the border police. The vehicle was followed up to the Tudora-Starokazachie border crossing point. After the specific check, it was allowed to enter Moldova. Afterward, the vehicle headed for the border line where the package was left.
The parcel that contained 40 packs of vegetal, dry mass looking like marijuana was found on the two men. The substance was seized and sent to the lab for examination. The men will stand trial.
