Two Riscani policemen charged with bribery

Two policemen from Riscani district are charged with bribery, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a press release from the Prosecutor General’s Office, an inspector of the Riscani Traffic Police Section is accused of having demanded and taken €250 from a man in exchange for applying the minimal administrative penalty and for returning his driving license and the car’s registration certificate. The man was stripped of his papers as a result of a traffic accident he committed. In the second case, a senior inspector demanded and received €500 from a person, in August, in exchange for not initiating criminal proceedings for hooliganism. Both cases have been sent to court.
